Talwara came into existence , in near about 1960 when the projects of PSEB, BBMB and Punjab irrigation started here, Thin dam (pong dam), mukerian hydel project and kandi canal project were the famous projects here, now all the projects have been completed successfully. most famous things here are Govt model school in sector 2, and the school is well known for there old teachers,
